What is Search Engine Optimization, in art SEO?

 

I have collected in the following area some video about SEO rules. Search Engine Optimization is a series of techniques to increase the relevancy of a website for search engines.

SEO is all about content, not a matter of technicalities... Yet, a clear and clean HTML is definitely important!

Rule 1) The <TITLE> in the browser

SEO = Contents? Ok... So, specifiy your contents and put a <title> in the HTML that has a real meaning.... The "title" in human history was created to explain the main subject of a text... So, it's easy...!

In order to be considered relevant a webpage regarding "French chees" should have French Chees in the title!

 

Rule 2) The titles in the page

The Title now it's ok... but the tags <title> are used to display a message in the browser, not in the page.

To divide the page in sub-categories and subsrguments... basically this tell to the engine what are the most importnat arguments. Moreover, organizing subcategories in a page man having an organized approach to contents.... This ia highly valued!

Rule 3) Link Building...?

 

Yes, but only if links are ment to be useful!.... Google assigns a rank to the pages of a website considering billions of paramethers: traffic, updates, contents, quality of the code... etc etc... and quality of the inbound links... ok... what a hell is an "inbound link" .... it's a link to your websites from an other one.

The higher is the Google ranking of a page of websites linking to one of your pages, the higer should be the ranking of that page... (it seems simple, isn't it?)

How to know the ranking of a website? Download Google Toolbar and install in on your browser... You can add to the bar the Google ranking estimator... here you go, you can spend half of your time analysing the rank of your pages!

To give you an idea about the most visited websites of the world, have a look at the map of the internet... it's like an underground map... but more interesting!
